Ten Ways to Hear Snow - that is the children’s book now posted in the Dwight Foster Public Library's StoryWalk® in Ralph Park. Maybe the next book to be installed soon will be ‘See Ya Later Snow!’
Our StoryWalk was made possible thanks to all the donors who have given to the library’s designated fund at the Community Foundation. When library staff have a good idea - like trying to bring reading outdoors, meeting kids where they’re at – they can request a grant from the Foundation’s library fund to make it happen. This type of added value that the Foundation provides goes a long way to explaining why we have such a fabulous library.
Library staff submitted their application, received the grant from the Foundation, partnered with the City of Fort Atkinson, WI Park & Rec. Department, and installed the StoryWalk in Ralph Park on time and under budget.
As spring has sprung, we look forward to warmer weather, softball games, and lots of kids on the playground who can enjoy the StoryWalk with their families.
